Ok, here we have it... I'm an 88' kid, and for the last couple of weeks I have been having some serious flashbacks of old movies, games, programmes that I enjoyed or disliked whilst growing up. In previous posts I said I was going to start building up a collection of 'vintage DVD's and toys' etc. I just figured that I could share the fun and let you guys get stuck in too!

I have been listening to a few of Lil Wayne's recent mixtapes, and I kept hearing him say Bugatti... I never knew what he was talking about until a friend informed me that he was talking about a car! So as I usually do, I researched... These cars are crazzy!! I don't know what i would do if I got one of these, man!
A couple of days ago, I am pretty sure it rained for 3 days straight! This weather is making me remember about when I was younger, and I would rush home from school to watch TV. I would sit down with a nice hot chocolate made by my Grandma, or my Mum, depending on where I was.. The memories...

Wowwww! It has been a while since I have sat down and posted on my blog! CRAZY! Well its 2:30 am and I am just going to write up what has been happening in my life lately. I feel the need to express!
Well.. Uni has commenced for my final year! YAAAAY! I cant't wait till it is over, the workload is so full on! Dissertation, Assignments, Reading, Group Work! I'm so glad I took 2 vacations this year, as there is no relaxing for me at all! Back on campus as well...... its a good thing but at the same time you have to deal with the fools that cant cook and set off the fire alarm everyday at inconvenient times!! FUN...
A lot have changes have been happening lately. I have cut off my locks, and gone for the fresh trim look! Also I am trying to sort out alot of things with Youneek and really get it to where it should be. So guys keep tuned in. The patience is much appreciated. There are still items on the shop, those that have ordered, sorry for the delay but this Postal Strike is ridiculous!
I have also been thinking about things I want to do which I haven't yet got round to doing. For a while I have been really wanting to almost 're live' my childhood... So I intend to. Starting by collecting all of my old school favourite movies on DVD. Honey I Shrunk The Kids, Big Trouble In Little China, GhostBusters, Gremlins, The NeverEnding Story... and I know there is so much more. Hopefully I will get some of those for Christmas lol! I definately want to stack up a nice collection of classics that I can look back on in a few years. I will let you guys know once I start collecting, I already know which ones I want to get 1st, and the prices are great!

I have been meaning to blog this for a while, but I have only just got round to taking a picture of it!
Well, as some of you guys may know, I was in LA not to long ago for a month of dance training. I had an short list of things I wanted to get while I was in LA. Johnny Cupcakes Tees, Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate and a nice Varsity Jacket! Well I was able to get hold of all of them. I could not leave LA with JC tees and at least one Varisty Jacket. I was able to get a nice black and purple one from a vintage store in Melrose.
Now I had got my Varsity Jacket I wasn't too fussed about getting another one. To my surprise for my 21st Birthday my good friends got me a customized Varsity Jacket. It was customized Youneek style! Here's some pics!
The jacket is too dope! When I opened the wrapper I was like huh?? Such a shock. An awesome birthday present, along with the other surprises I got for my birthday lol!
Its 11: 40pm and I am chilling watching Skins and surfing the World Wide Web! Goodtimes!
I know you guys are probably all wondering what's happening with Youneek... Well as this is the place to find out about the behind the scenes info, it is only fair to keep you guys in the loop. Youneek is sorting out a lot of things behind the scenes at the moment, hence the reason why their hasn't been much activity. But fear not, once we have sorted out everything, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I can't say exactly what is going on, but it is gonna be fun, and I can't wait till it is complete!! Hang tight and keep in the loop on the blog for all updates!
Even though Youneek has been out a very short while, I believe a lot has happened quite quickly. Being in LA has truly been a experience. Waking up to the shocking news that Michael Jackson had been rushed to the hospital in Bel Air, myself and my house mates rushed straight down to be with fans at this tragic time. It was crazy!! The news wasn't giving a final verdict and it really didn't seem real! I'm still in shock as I write this now...
Anyway I have been privileged to be in LA at this time. I was able to take some footage and some photos outside UCLA.
This trailer for the game looks too sick!! If only I had a games console I would definatley buy it... huff. Might get something for my birthday.. who knows lol
Had to fill you guys in with the spontaneous trip that I decided to take to San Diego from LA! Seriously it was last minute.com! My friends and I decided that we wanted to go and see a dance competition in San Diego on the day that it was actually on, but it was in San Diego which is like 2- 5 hours drive depending on traffic.
So... we decided to quickly rent a car from Enterprise and off we went to San Diego with our trusty Sat Nav. I have to show off and say that the car we rented was a 7 seater Chrysler!! GEEEZZZZZEEEE! Please believe I was scared though, driving on the other side of the road in a different country is a bit daunting. My friend drove to San Diego, and I drove back to LA in the dark EEEEEEEKKK!! But you know what, it wasn't that bad at all, it's quite simple to be honest..
It was a great experience, one that I will never forget. And I can officially say that I have driven in America. WHOOOP! Sorry for the sound effects lol, its 3 am out here in LA and I'm on a tired hype lol.

Lunch at the one and only IHOP (International House Of Pancakes)!! A must whilst in most parts of America! 24 hours of delicious, mouth watering pancakes and breakfast!
Some things are just so different here in LA.... I know I see them on the movies but I never understood why they looked like this.... The eggs... Why are they white lol??? I never understood that, but I am sure I will soon find out whilst I am here.
I'm here! 11 hours flight, and a 2 hours delay due to the fuel not operating properly with the plane, but I am here safe and sound! The fuel was not balanced properly on the plane, due to the computer malfunctioning, SCARY!! So we had to wait in the plane for about 2 hours while the fireman sorted out the issues! Anyways I have been here for 5 days, and every day has been awesome so far. I have been so busy with dance training whilst trying to adjust to the crazy 8 hour time difference! Major jet lag! Let me fill you all know with what's been happening so far.
Since I have been here I have been ridiculously inspired by everyone, LA is amazing especially in terms of dance and entertainment. On the 1st day whilst shopping at the Ralph's store around the corner from my apartment I saw Holly Valance! It was weird, everyone here has moved to LA for a specific reason, not many people have actually been raised in LA.... well where I'm staying anyway. I am staying with a few other friends from London who also dance, and we live quite near 'The Valley.' So those of you that watch 'The Hills' will know what I am talking about lol.
I have been taking about 3/4 classes a day so far, but I am still adjusting to a few things. In my free time so far I have been to Melrose where I was able to check out one of the brands that heavily inspires me, 'Johnny Cupcakes.' Visiting his shop was a must whilst in LA!! The store is amazing!! But it was just my luck that as soon as I come to LA, Johnny Cupcakes decides to go to London.. arghhhh!!
I will be purchasing some exclusive in store tees before I leave! I also checked out Kid Robot, I think I am a fan! There stuff is awesome! Probably going to get a few things if I have enough money left over!
Since I have been here I have realised that the whole vibe is different to London. Everyone here is so laid back and chilled. Although it's a different country and a different culture, it is so funny that although we speak the same language sometimes when I speak I am not understood! Words like 'water' and 'dance' I have to repeat to some people in an 'American accent' for them to understand lol.
It's been so much fun out here, I don't want to leave! Oh and any guy that comes to LA go to Hooters!! Baring in mind I was with 3 girls and 1 other guy, going to eat in this place, I was kinda shocked lol. But it was awesome. I will say no more, just find it!
So that is what has been happening so far in LA. I will upload some pics and keep everyone updated as much as possible with the goings on over here, even though I get home mad late from a tiring day of dance! An update on Youneek.... I phoned home this week, and my Dad said that I had received a letter from the IPO Office.... And yes.... Youneek is officially trademarked!!!!!! I can now add that little 'R' in a circle when using the logo, whooopieeee!!

It has been such a long time since I have blogged.. WOW! Anyway I'm here now lol! So... what has been happening in the Wonderful World of Youneek??
Well..... It's been a busy couple of months with exams at uni, which are now finally finished!! I am just waiting patiently for my grades!! Summer holidays are now here and in approximately 18 hours I will be on a plane to LA!! As some of you may know, I am also a dancer, so I will be going to LA to train for a month at Millenium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynolds plus some other studios out there. I actually can't wait, it's going to be awesome!!
In preparation I have been running around like a mad man sorting out last bits and pieces, finances, shopping and of course the business side of things. Today I picked up the new batch of Summer Youneek Tees!! They are Yellow tees with Orange print! I must say I am really pleased with how they have turned out. This is the 3rd printers I have used and I think I might just stay with these ones! The Summer Tees will launch when I come back from LA, sometime near the beginning of July. So all you followers, keep your eyes peeled, this is one is a must for your wardrobe!
To tickle your tastebuds, below are some preview pictures of the new tee. I have changed a few things, behind the scenes ie. custom tags, front print, bagging etc. For me every step is a stepping stone, and I am glad that every step I am progressing up a level with my line. I have learnt so much in this short space of time whilst running Youneek, and one major thing I have learnt is PATIENCE! You really can't walk before you can crawl!

Seen as everyone is on Twitter, I decided to join as well. Everyone seems to be using the catchphrase 'Follow Me' and for some reason that reminded me of the classic game 'Abes Odyssey' I know some of you gamers remember that game! Cant remember what button it was to press but there was parts in the game when you could speak to other characters and say 'Follow Me' and they were like 'Ok' lol! The good old days!

I thought I'd share with you this funny moment I experienced at Heathrow Airport coming back from Ireland over the weekend.
Well I got off of the plane after a nice flight, collected my bag and continued to exit departures. I needed to go to the bathroom, so I did lol. To my surprise as I was washing my hands, a guy walked in who I recognized from somewhere but I couldn't quite figure it out... Then it clicked I realized who it was; he was from 'Big Brother', the one with Coolio in it not sure what episode. Anyways as I'm drying my hands this 'Celebrity X' as I will call him was going toilet like you do in a bathroom right lol. To my suprise and disgust, please believe 'Celebrity X' walked out of the bathroom without washing his hands erghhhhhhh!! Imagine if he went to go and shake someones hand? Shocking celebrity behaviour lol!
It's interesting what goes on when celebrity's are 'behind the scenes.' I think we can often forget that they are normal human beings, but they are put into the media with massive attention on them constantly! But still, not washing your hands is plain NASTY!
The lesson learnt from this experience.... 'Always wash your hands after you go to the bathroom, because Big Brother is always watching!!!'
Pancakes...... hmmmmm... how tastylol! And yes I know I am technically a day late, but I only realized Tuesday evening when I saw the kids at the youth club making pancakes.... I was so upset! Anyways today I made some all for myself! I went to Tesco's and low and behold all the pancake mix was gone!! So I had to settle for Mr Tesco Value's 8p Batter Mix!! (Compared to the other extreme of £2.26.)
I got home, whipped up that mix, and yes, before my eyes appeared several mouth watering pancakes waiting to be devoured by who....?? MEEEEEEE!! Sugar and Lemon, the best filling for Traditional pancakes. It's funny how I really did not realise it was Pancake day. I think they should advertise it more like they do with Valentines, and all the other 'Special Days.' And yes guys I do love me some pancakes, I was loving it in NY when I went to IHOP. A whole restaurant dedicated to pancakes! For those of you who don't know IHOP is International House of Pancakes. I think they are dotted around most places in America. Go to one, you won't be disappointed, TRUST!
Anyways.... Moving on nicely, sipping on my hot chocolate. As some of you can see, I'm starting to get used to this blogging thing, it's kinda cool. So... from now on I have decided not to just 'blog' about Youneek but everything that concerns the company and myself. It's nice to interact with customers and supporters via a different mode, plus it's fun! Life, fun, work, play, business, updates, all will be revealed through the Official Youneek Blog! So keep posted like Royal Mail!

Just finished watching the new episode back for Heroes. What is going on!!??? Once again Sylar is back with his madness, and now the organization have gathered all the Heroes and are flying them out somewhere...! Shocking but yet exciting, I can't wait for the next episode, and I'm not going to be a cheat and watch the next one on BBC 3 lol! (Let's see how long I last.) Let's hope that it keeps as exciting throughout! If you don't watch Heroes, your missing out big time!! Get to know and catch up yo!

As sales continue, I have been sorting out future designs, legal bits and bobs concerning Youneek, marketing, and continuing with my everyday ordinary life lol! Anyways... alot of people have been asking how did you come up with the story for William Whiz Kid and Youneek... like it's crazy and so imaginative! I have decided to post a nice long blog for all who are interested in how I actually came up with Youneek.... eventually. The essence of Youneek itself is pretty much explained through William's story but I will expand on all of that in the up and coming posts.
Well its now 1:51 am, and my eyes are starting to burn from being generally tired and looking at this computer screen so...... until we meet again my fellow Neeks. Keep locked in! It's a Youneek Thing!

Nice and early in the morning, ready to start a productive day but...... OH NO I'M SNOWED IN!! LOL! Thought I'd write a quick blog seen as I haven't got much to do. Quick update: Still preparing for my 1st batch of stock to be delivered, let's hope that the snow doesn't postpone the delivery, that WILL be annoying! With that in mind the predicted launch date for Youneek Clothing may be pushed forward... or back... not sure which one is right lol! Basically there is a high chance of you getting your Youneek Sweatshirts before the proposed launch date of Feb 15th wohooooo!!

Another update approaching the time for the Youneek Clothing Official launch!! I have come to realize after all theses years why my mum used to say 'patience is a virtue....' it really is!! Having to wait to get things in order, and making sure that everything is as good as it can be before the launch is quite long; but I have realized it is definitely necessary! I'm getting mad excited for the launch, and hopefully my batch should be arriving very, very soon!!
So what's been happening in the Youneek Clothing Empire: Working on future designs. This is not the only one believe that! Sorting out the 'Office', with enough space for the stock. Getting shelves from Argos lol! Sorting out other utensils needed..... Sorting out the Online Shop/Website wohooo! And getting on with my everyday life as much as possible lol!

Just thought I'd blog and keep you all updated on what's happening with Youneek Clothing in preparation for the launch. As you can see the blog has a new background designed by moi whooooo!! That is the result of 4 hours on Illustrator and Photoshop designing and trying to get it in the right format to use as a background image!! I finally got it working and have been able to use it as the background image for my online shop and myspace also. ANDDDDDD.... They are all integrated!! Goodtimes!!
Been speaking with suppliers about the 1st batch, hopefully they will be ready in time for the proposed launch date 15th February!!! The colour of the first batch is SECRET lol, but you will all know when they are out so long as you keep posted to the blog, facebook or myspace.
Also I have been designing my online shop MYSELF hours upon hours getting it how I want it, but it's is finally to a standard that I am happy with. I hope you all like it too!

In a land far away, where books fly and calculators speak, lived a young lad by the name of William Whiz Kid. Whilst studying at Youniveristy, William developed an outgoing personality and a ‘Passion for Fashion’ which he transferred into his everyday attire. Wearing bright colours and proclaiming positive statements, William inspired others to express their individuality through their appearance. As William progressed through his degree he developed into the unique individual he was destined to be.
Graduating from Wormalls School of Geniuses with a 1st class degree in ‘Positive Quirkology’, William went on to build an empire of his own, where ‘Neeks’ were no longer seen as inferior, but as aspiring people with unique qualities, setting them apart from the average individual.
It was as William continued to build his empire that he was inspired to convey his outlandish characteristics into eye catching, fashionable clothing, confronting the issues he had dealt with in the past. He used this as his way to express how he felt, despite his surroundings. This was the birth of Youneek Clothing!

We aim to be launching in mid February with the 1st batch of Youneek Classic Jumpers! The 1st batch will be black jumpers with one colour print (soon to be revealed) and will be LIMITED STOCK!! So when the launch happens people be ready, guaranteed to sell quick!!
ALL purchases will be made through our online shop which is currently being sorted at the moment. I know some people are thinking .... 'I'm not feeling to be giving out credit card details on the net!' No worries, I can assure you that everything is safe and secure with the trusty PayPal Cart!!
